Music for People is dedicated to re-vitalizing your music-making and promoting music improvisation as a means of self-expression. We offer quarterly weekend music improvisation workshops throughout the year in the eastern USA and a longer workshop once each summer. Our four-year Musicianship and Leadership (MLP) training program has graduated over 100 Certified Facilitators, bringing Music For People’s inclusive music making to schools, concerts, health care settings and homes.
Participate in two hours of continuous dance/movement improvisation with live music. Leaders Manfred Fischbeck and Brigitta Herrmann guide the group through a series of movement meditations, improvisational structures, and games to inspire spontaneous self-expression and collective creation.
Join us every Friday from 8-10 PM
Flute Haven offers a full week of workshops, recording, classes, performing and performances, presentations, and (most enjoyably) music-making and jamming.

Carol Tileston teaches all styles and levels of guitar, including the Suzuki Method for children four and up. She teaches out of her home in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia.

Community Acupuncture of Mt. Airy is wellness center that’s been serving the community for a dozen years. We specialize in acupuncture, offered on a sliding scale from $30-$45. We work on tables, not chairs, so we can treat the whole body, and each relaxed visit offers plenty of time to share your health concerns.
Inner Rhythms Music and Therapy Center provides music lessons, music therapy, and event and rehearsal space to musicians, therapists and artists in the Philadelphia area.
SpiritArts is a method to dance your inner dance through music making, sound healing and visual art making. Come to Lynn Miller'sHealing Arts Studio, in Phoenixville, PA for a SpiritArts session or workshop.
Intercultural Journeys uses the arts to promote peace and greater understanding between people of diverse backgrounds, faiths, and cultures with the aim of catalyzing social change and awareness. Founded in 2002, Intercultural Journeys believes that performances, done for the purpose of bringing people together that might otherwise be in conflict, give us the opportunity to play a small part in contributing to world peace.
The Folk Factory, based at the Unitarian Church on Stenton Ave and Gorgas Lane in Mt. Airy, is a forum for people interested in music of all kinds and progressive social change. Open Stage / Open Circles are held on most "last Thursdays," and concerts are scheduled throughout the year.
Michael London is a Philadelphia Area Singer-Songwriter known as a passionate interpreter of Rumi’s poetry, the great 13th century Sufi poet. He offers us a musical window into the ecstatic poems, which reveal and make tangible our connection with the self, humanity, nature and beyond.
Animus is a Philadelphia based World Fusion Music & Dance ensemble led by Bill Koutsouros. Their exciting original music melds the exotic musical traditions of the Middle East, Greece, India & Latin America with Jazz, Funk, Rock and beyond. Animus' spectacular belly dancers add an enchanting dimension at selected performances.
The Opa Band performs the best Traditional Greek Music featuring Philadelphia's own John Koutsouros on Guitar and his son Bill on Bouzouki, Outi and Tsoumbaliki.
This circle meets quarterly to celebrate the annual equinoxes and solstices.
Feel the connectedness to nature and the spiritual beauty of this rich musical tradition. Beginners & experienced musicians are all welcome. Please bring any world music instruments you have (native flutes, drums, rattles, didgeridoo, rain sticks, dulcimers, ukeleles, etc.) Celebration dates for 2017 are: April 1st, June 17th, Sept. 23rd and Dec. 16th.
